Edfu

Edfu - half way between Luxor and Assuan. With some effort, you could manage to visit the Horus temple already with a painful sunburn (in case you got on board of the Nile cruise ship in Luxor). Hardly can you see that this temple spent about 2000 years beneath the desert sand.
 

Once again, here it would have been a clear advantage if you could read hieroglyphs. So for somebody like me, the only thing to do is to consider this sight as beautiful, artistic of impressive - informative it is for someone else.
